About Us 

Established in 2023 in response to demand in the Central and North Central Regions in Victoria for courses that focus on work skills needed in the regions, Macedon Ranges Education RTOID: 46155 recognised the need for non-accredited training in the accounting and bookkeeping sector. GoBooks Online as a division of Macedon Ranges Education offers courses online and in the classroom for Accounting and Bookkeeping, Payroll Management, and Workplace Skills for entry level job applicants in office environments, Office Administration, Business and Leadership for mid-level Business Managers and Small Business Owners.

Centrally located in the town of Kilmore in the historic Kilmore Town Hall built in 1894, and right beside the Kilmore Town Library, our Campus is central and accessible in less than 50 minutes’ travel by car from Bendigo, Ballarat, Whittlesea, Tullamarine, Craigieburn, and the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Public Transport is readily available with a bus stop at our front door and ample free car parking adjacent to our campus.

Our Trainers and Assessors, Student Support Team and Administration Team all have extensive experience in both Vocational Education and Training and learners’ area of study and can provide real world tutoring for students to learn bookkeeping.

We understand the challenges and successes that students can experience during their course. As learners travel their study journey learners are supported and advised by staff that have experienced the same path.

Courses are available for Xero, Xero Payroll, and BAS and IAS Preparation and other business administration topics. You can complete your bookkeeping certificate online or in the classroom.

• Class sizes at our Kilmore Campus and Online Classes are limited to 15 per class. Providing you with more time and support with your trainer. 

• Our dedicated Student Support Team will be available to you to answer your questions and support you. You will learn from Industry Professionals currently working in the Accounting and Bookkeeping sector.

• Unlimited access is available to your chosen courses and materials at a time to suit you and your lifestyle and work commitments.

• Choose from Accounting and Bookkeeping Courses at the level you want to study with the dedicated support of experienced accounts and bookkeeping trainers (during campus opening hours). 

• All learning materials are supplied, and you have access to Xero for 6 months to complete your course. You will need reliable access to the internet and your own laptop to compete the coursework.

• Choose from three (3) levels of study; Introduction,  Intermediate or Advanced or all three (3) to learn new skills and refresh old skills for those with previous experience. 

• All courses are offered online, or in the classroom to suit your learning style. 

• We also have MS Excel and Microsoft Word courses for learners wanting to develop their spreadsheet and document creation skills for accounting and bookkeeping tasks.

• On completion of your course you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
